Participating in the Workshop were Ms. Lê Thị Khánh Vân, Deputy Director of NASATI; Mr. Ran Yehezkel, Head of Israeli Chamber of Economics and Commerce; together with representatives from Vietnamese and Israeli S&T management agencies, organizations and enterprises.
The Workshop was organized in order to help Vietnam’s agencies to have access to the most modern technologies on water supply, waste water treatment and sea water desalinization of Israel, which has been the leading country in this field.
Israel has the developed S&T field, especially in fields of high technologies, water treatment technologies. Israeli scientists have developed many new technologies to solve issues of water shortage, reduce issues of ecology and population, and improve the quality of water sources and technologies of water supply and irrigation.
The Workshop was a good opportunity for Vietnamese and Israeli scientists, managers and enterprises to exchange their professional skills and share experience in the State management field, especially technologies of waste water treatment in agriculture, industry and daily life. Then the cooperation between the two parties would be expanded equivalent to potentials of the two countries in this field.
In the Workshop, the Israeli party also introduced about the 6th International Exhibition on water technology and environmental control and the 3rd International Conference (WATEC 2011), which would be organized in Tel Aviv – Israel from November 15 – 17, 2011.
