Ms.Le Thi Khanh Van – NASATI’s Deputy Director said that Vietnamese scientists have studied capacities of absorbing technology, introduced, transferred technology of raising high-productivity fresh fish, hybrid rice, tomato, bean and mushroom breeding for these two countries.
As said, before (2007) in order to promote the technology transfer among South – South developing countries, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) funded the establishment of the portal for South Global Asset and Technology Exchanges (in short called SS-Gate). MOST assigned NASATI the national focal point. Within the operation of SS-Gate in Vietnam, in April 2011, NASATI together with Hanoi Agriculture University, Aquaculture Institute No 1, Institute of Animal Raising, Institute of Food and Food trees, Experimental Biology Centre under Agriculture Genetic Institute signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Republic of Nigeria and Songhai Agriculture Centre –the Republic of Benin, Africa.
This is the first result of agricultural cooperation throughSS-Gate. In the coming time, the Vietnamese side would train for agricultural staff of Benin and Nigeria in Vietnam.
