In the working session, Deputy Minister Tran Viet Thanh together with representatives of MOST’s functional agencies shared about issues relating to S&T activities about which the delegation of General Department of Civil Service Administration and Management wanted to understand, specificallyVietnam’s S&T current activities as MOST’s organizational structure, functions, tasks and roles, inquiries relating to functions and tasks between MOST and the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications. At the same time, Lao’s General Department of Civil Service Administration and Management also shared their desires to understand issues relating to mechanisms to formulate legal and regulatory documents for S&T activities; structure, organization of Agencies, Departments and Institutes; mechanisms to check and control intellectual property activities; standards, metrology and quality,…

Mr Khammoune Viphongxay expressed his thanks for MOST’s warm welcome for the delegation and highly appreciated Vietnam’s cooperation on Lao’s S&T activities over the past time. Mr Khammoune Viphongxay hoped that S&T cooperation between the two parties would be closer and more developed.

On behalf of MOST’s leaders, Deputy Minister Tran Viet Thanh expressed his thanks for Lao’s General Department of Civil Service Administration and Management topay a visit to Vietnam and work with MOST. The Deputy Minister emphasized that MOST has always focused on S&T cooperation between Lao and Vietnam, cooperative relations on S&T between the two countries which develop more and more would contribute to strengthening friendships between the two countries. For the coming time, Vietnam’s MOST would be always willing to share experience and support Lao’s MOST to develop functions and tasks of Lao’s MOST. The Deputy minister also expressed his desires that Lao’s friends always supportcolleagues from Vietnam’s MOST in Laos and wished that cooperative relations between the two countries in S&T fields would develop more.
