The Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Pham Cong Tac; Chief of the Office of the Party's Steering Board, Deputy Director General of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Science and Technology Pham Thi Van Anh; key leaders and representatives of the Trade Union and Youth Union of the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam.
At the ceremony, the Chief of the Office of the Party's Steering Board, Deputy Director General of the Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Science and Technology Pham Thi Van Anh announced the Decision No.368/QD-BKHCNdated 3 March, 2021 of the Minister of Science and Technology on appointment of Mr. Nguyen Van Bay, Head of the Legislation and Policy Department, Intellectual Property Office of Viet Namto as Deputy Director General of the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Pham Cong Tac congratulated Mr. Nguyen Van Bay. Deputy Minister Tac shared that the appointment was an evaluation and recognition of Mr. Bay’s efforts and contributions during his long time of working at the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam. The appoitment showed the trust and expectation from the Party Personnel Board, the Party Committee of the Ministry, the leaders of the Ministry and officials of the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam in Mr. Nguyen Van Bay in his next journey. Deputy Minister Pham Cong Tac also emphasized the upcoming key tasks of the Office, among which great importance is attached to the completion of the Law amending a number of articles of the Law on Intellectual Property to meet the requirements of practice and international integration.

On behalf of the leaders of the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam, Director General Dinh Huu Phi affirmed that it is really important to supplement and consolidate the leaders of the Office in this period to meet requirements of development in new situation. Director General Phi expressed his expectation that Mr.Nguyen Van Bay would continue to promote his knowledge, enthusiasm and responsibility together with all other officials of the Office, in the coming time, to unitedly and creatively undertake the common tasks, promoting the contribution of intellectual property activities to the socio-economic development of the country, among which the two two key tasks are completing the Law amending a number of articles of the Law on Intellectual Property and effectively implementing the National Intellectual Property Strategy.

Speaking at the ceremony, the newly appointed Deputy Director General of Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam Nguyen Van Bay sent sincere thanks to the Minister, the Party's Steering Board, the Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology for trusting and appointing him. “This is an honor and pride for me, as well as a great responsibility to the Minister, to the Ministry's leaders and to the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam. I promise to make my best effort together with the units to seriously, fully and effectively undertake the assigned tasks, thereby contributing a part to the overall success of the Office in particular and the Ministry of Science and Technology in general”, Mr. Nguyen Van Bay shared.
