The 38th Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO), with the theme “Fostering initiatives and actions by AFEO to build a sustainable and prosperous ASEAN Community”, opened online on November 25.
NDO – The 2020 fest for innovative start-ups (Techfest) in the Southeast region was launched in Ho Chi Minh City on November 24 with the theme ‘Improving the recovery of the start-up ecosystem in the state of the new normal’.

On October 27th, 2020 in Hanoi, The Center for Vietnam Science and Technology Internationalization Promotion (the VISTIP Center) held a training course on “Correspondence writing skills for research exchanges and S&T cooperative activities with foreign partners”. Attending the training course were participants from many Institutions of Ministries such as Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Education and Training.
NDO – A total of 40 outstanding scientific and technological innovations were honoured with the 2019 Vietnam Fund for Scientific and Technological Creations (VIFOTEC) Award at a ceremony held in Hanoi on October 21 in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.
NDO - Vietnam’s national standard system (TCVN) currently has nearly 13,000 standards, approximately 60% of which have been harmonised with international and regional standards, contributing to effectively supporting socio-economic development in many fields.
ASEAN Smart Cities Summit & Expo 2020 with the theme “Smart cities – Towards Community, Identity and Sustainable Development For a Cohesive and Responsive ASEAN” is one of the important milestones in the year 2020 in which Vietnam was the chair of ASEAN was co-organized by Central Economic Commission and Ministry of Contruction on October 22nd, 2020 with the support of Office of the Government, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Information and Communication, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, The State Bank of Vietnam, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Industry and Trade, ASEAN Secretariat, Ha Noi People’s Commitee, Ho Chi Minh People’s Commitee and Da Nang People’s Commitee. Leader of the Ministry of Science and Technology chaired and managed one Special Thematic Conference belonging to the framework of the Summit.
The successful digital transformation for the public sector and business community following the specific targets until 2025 will be an effective step towards S&T integration in particular as well as Vietnam's economic integration in general.
With the direction of the Government, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the support of Hanoi People’s Committee, Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park (HHTP) has got some remarkable achievements. Especially, after the visit of H.E. The seminar is an opportunity for participant to discuss and share experiences of S&T cooperation with Sweden and solutions to build S&T cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden better, it also created favorable conditions for Scientists, experts, managers and businesses have the opportunity to access and exchange information on S&T cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden.
