During the time in Japan, the delegation had working sessions and discussions with Mr. Norio Owada – Chairman of ABI Group and Mr. Hidemichi Yoshida – General Director of the Group on transferring and developing CAS technology for Vietnam. The delegation visited companies which have applied CAS technology under ABI Group as Iruma Meat Company – processing catering food from fruits and foods preserved by CAS technology, Chen Kenz Company – processing pork preserved by CAS technology...
The visit to Japan with the participation of representatives from Departments under MOST together with leaders of the Institute for Regional Research and Development has achieved good results. Accordingly, ABI Group and Institute for Regional Research and Development signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation with the witness of Mr. Đoàn Xuân Hưng – Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Japan with following contents:
- ABI Group agreed to transfer CAS technology to the only agency in Vietnam, which is the Institute for Regional Research and Development including technology for processing CAS equipment, using CAS technology in food preservation and processing of agricultural, aqualcutural and food products; training for staff who do research, operate equipment and technology;
- Implementation of CAS technology laboratory (on pilot scale) includes provision of 3 key equipment of CAS technology, guidelines of operation and use of the equipment;
- Transfer of processes of food and agricultural products with CAS technology and cooperation on CAS technology research in preservation of some agricultural and tropical products;
- Transfer of technology for manufacturing CAS equipment for Vietnam;
- Development of the proposal on establishing a joint venture company on manufacturing CAS equipment and quick freezing system, using CAS technology to preserve some agricultural and tropical products for domestic market and for export to markets and some other countries.
