before the ceremony, Professor Nancy Cromar- the delegation Head of
Flinders University had a call on Deputy Minister of Science and
Technology Pham Cong Tac.

Minister of Science and Technology- Pham Cong Tac received the call
from Professor Nancy Cromar- Pro Vice Chancellor and Vice President
(International) of Flinders University
Flinders
University was one among 19 research universities of Australia in top
500 World universities as determined by the Shanghai Jiao Academic
Ranking of the World Universities (2013), especially ranked number 1in
the fields of medical and health, environmental and physical sciences
(ERA 2012). Through the MOU, two parties have consented to collaborate
in some significant activities such as training and exchange of staff in
academic and research institutes including in industry; performing join
research projects; Joint-organized events; publications. Two parties
also had the same interest in promoting science research at high schools in Vietnam.
The ceremony was witnessed by Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Science and Technology (MOST)- Pham Cong Tac, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam- Hugh Borrowman along with many senior officials from MOST, universities, research institutions…and VISTIP’s staff. Mr. Bui Quy Long- CEO, on behalf of VISTIP and ProfessorNancy Cromar– Pro Vice Chancellor and Vice President (International), on behalf of Flinders University together signed this MOU .

Previously
on the August 04th 2014, a courtesy call on Vietnam’s Minister of
Science and Technology- H.E Nguyen Quan made by President and
Vice-Chancellor of Flinders University- Professor Michael Barber was
organized by VISTIP on the occasion of his first business trip to
Vietnam from August 03rd to August 08th 2014.
