In the working session, Ms. Victoria highly appreciated WB-Vietnam Cooperative Relations and said although Vietnam has gained important achievements in the development over the past time, the reality has created many challenges and it would require outstanding development for the coming time. Through researches and surveys, based on renovation activities in Vietnam’s current S&T management, WB said that Vietnam would need to strengthen investment in S&T in order to increase the productivity, promote fields which it has strengths or advantages… Therefore, for the time being, WB has actively proposed to fund a project in order to support the strong and effective promotion of Vietnam’s S&T renovation activities through MOST.
Minister Hoàng Văn Phong expressed his thanks for WBand highly appreciated the Project proposed by WB, whose contents would be detailed and practical with the renovation status of R&D organizations as well as S&T policies which have been implemented in Vietnam. The Minister committed that MOST would have the closest and most active coordination during the course of implementation so that the Project would achieve high results, contributing to promote S&T activities, create close and effective linkages between research organizations and enterprises.
