Deputy Minister Tran Van Tung met with representatives from Arizona University and Intel Vietnam

In the meeting, Intel’s representative said that currently some high technology companies and big groups have invested in technologies in Vietnam with increasing tendencies. Intel has always paid high attention to human resources. However, Intel realized that there have still been some challenges, obstacles in human resources in Vietnam. Therefore Intel wanted to share cooperation opportunities with Vietnam in training human resources in order to continue promoting its activities as well Intel’s long-term development in Vietnam. Based on that, Intel has selected Arizona State University to implement the Higher Engineering Education Alliance Program (HEEAP) in order to achieve the objective of improving the quality of technical education in Vietnam.

Over the past time, HEEAP has been implemented in leading Vietnam’s universities and colleges in order to implement training programs for lecturers, improve lecture’s contents and strengthen practical skills of students. Through this program, engineering students would have better professional knowledge as well as strengthen their language skills, other soft and necessary skills.

Deputy Minister Tran Van Tung highly appreciated directions which are right and appropriate with practical knowledge of HEEAP to help developing countries as Vietnam to develop its human resources, especially in fields of high technology or S&T fields,…

With HEEAP’s contents, the Deputy Minister desired that two parties would discuss and cooperate so that the project would be soon implemented. Through that MOST Management Training Institute could train good trainers, train scientific staff as well as students, who are working in S&T field to have high qualifications of international standard and the training quality of engineering universities and colleges would be of ABET standard.
