Signing ceremony of the Cooperation agreement between Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute and Thailand Institute for Nuclear Technology

On May 11/5/2016, in the head office of Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute (VINATOM) – 59 Lý Thường Kiệt, Hà Nội took place signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement between VINATOM and Thailand Institute for Nuclear Technology (TINT).



Attending the signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement between VINATOM and TINT, on VINATOM’s side were Director Trần Chí Thành, Deputy Director Nguyễn Hào Quang, leaders from Division on International Cooperation, Division on Planning and Science Management and other units as Institute of Nuclear Science and Technique, Center for Nuclear Training, Hanoi Radiation Center. On TINT’s side were Mr. Pornthep Nisamaneephong – Executive Director, Ms. Kanchalika Dechates – Head of International Cooperation Division, Ms. Sorada Chanintayuttavong, Mr. Kampanart Silva, Ms. Jiraporn Promping and Ms. Kotchaphan Kanjana – nuclear researchers of Division of Research and Development.

Purposes of this Cooperation agreement are to encourage and promote cooperation in using atomic energy for peaceful purposes appropriate with laws and regulations of Việt Nam and Thailand.

According to this Cooperation Agreement, VINATOM and TINT commit to cooperate in fields of producing radio-isotopes and radio pharmaceuticals for diagnosing diseases in research reactor piles and particle accelerators; treating radiation by Co-60 radiating device and electronic particle accelerators; using nuclear techniques in industries, biology agriculture, environment and related fields; doing research and development of rare soil; technologies and safety of nuclear power; radiation protection, management of radiation wastes and environment; education, training and transfer of nuclear technology./.
