In the discussion, the two parties informed each other cooperation activities implemented during the time from the Forum which took place in Guangzhou in June 2010 and discussed measures to promote more cooperation relations in the coming time. Reviewing bilateral cooperation results, the two parties recognized that friendship cooperative relations between the two countries have been continuously strengthened and developed over the past time. The discussion was taken place in the atmosphere of friendship, understanding and mutual reliability.

The two parties agreed to promote the implementation of the draft Memorandum of Understanding on Standards, Metrology and Appropriateness Evaluation. Based on that spirit, in the Discussion the two parties discussed on topics as the system of legal and regulatory documents relating to voluntary certification (system certification and product certification), relating to quality management of Chinese goods for which the certification is compulsory as children’s toys, electricity equipment, civil electronics, petroleum, liquefied petroleum gas; the implementation of legal and regulatory documents in practice; quality supervision and certification of Chinese toys, electricity equipment, civil electrics, liquefied petroleum gas in production and consumption; process, procedure and practical application in supervising experimental departments for certification and approving appraisal experts; the system of Chinese supervising agencies and certifying organizations.

The two parties highly appreciated cooperation results achieved in the field of Standards, Metrology and Appropriateness Evaluation and at the same time agreed to promote the cooperation in this field for the coming time. After the Discussion finished, leaders of the two parties signed the Discussion Minute.
