Participating in the Conference were representatives from relevant Ministries branches, enterprise associations and enterprise of Việt Nam and around 35 – 40 international visitors (enterprises, universities, investors,…).

SEMI’s cooperation opened development opportunities for micro-circuit industry in Viet Nam
(photo taken in ICDREC)For more than 40-year operation, SEMI has supported members of the Association and related industries through programs, initiatives and activities in order to promote the strong development of enterprises and the growth of the global semiconductor market. In recent years, SEMI has always paid attention to Việt Nam’s development and desired to create a friendly semiconductor production ecosystem in Việt Nam.
In order to rationalize this, SEMI coordinated with the Management Board of High-Tech Park in Hồ Chí Minh City to organize the first SEMI Việt Nam Conference on semiconductor in September 2013 and the second one also in Hồ Chí Minh City in September 2014. Through the success of these two mentioned-above events, SEMI’s member companies have seen many opportunities in Việt Nam’s potential market.
In the Conference, SEMI would have presentations on trends of semiconductor market and development of technologies in emerging markets; regarding the State management agencies on S&T, MOST’s representatives would also have the overall presentation on the development of high technologies in Việt Nam.
