According to the General Secretary of Vietnam Union of Science and Technique Associations, Deputy Director of the Organizing Committee Phạm Văn Tân, the quality of awards in 2010 has been rather high.
The Council had carefully selections and decided to present Science and Technique Awards for 41 works in 6 fields with 3 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 16 third prizes and 13 consolation prizes.
Among that, 3 works awarded the first prize were "Study on improving the technology of pilot manufacturing high-quality water supply equipment for hemodialysis machines" of a group of 6 authors chaired by Master Trịnh Ngọc Diệu; "Study on manufacturing hepatotropeBoganic from Vietnamese herbals" of Master Nguyễn Huy Văn and collaborators "Study on manufacturing and applying nano carbon pipe materials" of Professor, Doctor Phan Hồng Khôi and collaborators.
The World Intellectual Organization also presented 4 WIPO awards for the most oustanding enterprises in applying intellectual property systems in their production, and business, the best works, best femal author and youngest author.
Especially, the work of Studying on manufacturing and applying nano carbon pipe material of Profession, Doctor Phan Hồng Khôi- Institute of Material Science –Vietnam Institute of Science and Technology has been presented with both Vietnam Sicence and Technology Innovation Award and WIPO award 2010 for the most outstanding work.
This is the first time a succesffuly study on equipment and technology for manufacturing nano carbon pipe has been carried out on a large scale, contributing to reduce product prices.
On this occation the Prime Minister also granted certificates of merits for 11 individuals who were chairmen and co-chairmen of works awarded with high prizes, granted certificates of merits for Vietnam Fund for supporting Technique Innovation and 3 individuals who had outstanding achievements in organizaiton, communication and popularizaiton of the awards.
In the coming 19/4, the Ceremony on presenting Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Aawards 2010 would be broadcasted live on Vietnam Television.
