On 24/8/2009 the Delegation visited Pinggu peach growing area of Beijing – the place where grows famous peach of China and worked with the Administration Branch for Industry and Commerce of Pinggu District, Administration Department of Industry and Commerce of Beijing. Attending the meeting and working with the Delegation is Ms. Zhang Huan – the Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation – SAIC; leaders from the Administration Department of Industry and Commerce of Beijing; Administration Branch for Industry and Commerce of Pinggu District and representatives from the Association of Pinggu peach growing households. The two parties have exchanged experience in developing, protecting and managing certifying trademarks from the fact of certified trademarks for famous Pinggu peach. After the working session, the Delegation visited peach gardens and directly met with peach growing households in Pinggu.

In the morning of 25/8/2009 the Delegation visited and worked with SAIC. In the Chinese party, attending the meeting and working with the Delegation were Mr. Fu Shuangjian – Deputy Director; leaders of the Department of International Cooperation, Department of Trade marks, Department of Handling Complaints on Trademarks and some relevant agencies under SAIC. In this working session, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for cooperation between the National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP) of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the SAIC of the People’s Republic of China on trade marks and trade mark related issues was organized.

Mr. Fu Shangjian, Deputy Director of SAIC, representative of the Chinese party and Mr. Tran Viet Hung, the Director of NOIP, representative of the Vietnamese party, has signed the MOU. This is an important document, served as the platform for close cooperation between the two parties on protection registration and trade mark management and relating subjects.

After the signing ceremony, Deputy Director Mr. Fu Shuangjian held a reception for the Vietnamese Delegation. The reception took place in the solidarity, friendly atmosphere of mutual understanding. Director Tran Viet Hung has invited SAIC’s leaders to visit Vietnam. Deputy Director Mr. Fu Shuangjian was glad to accept the invitation and invited leaders of NOIP to return to China on the occasion of “Chinese Trade mark Week” in Thanh Dao on this November.

In following days, after leaving Beijing, the Vietnamese Delegation visited and worked in some locations of famous products which China has registered the protection of certified trade marks as Research Institute and Museum of Nam Kinh Brocade, production units of Chinsan Tea Association and Silk Business Center of Hang Chau City. In each location, the Delegation was warmly welcomed by leaders of the Department of Industry and Commerce, local authorities and leaders of relevant agencies and organizations, who sincerely expressed the Vietnamese – Chinese traditional friendships. As a result, the Delegation acquired practical experience in trade mark development, protection and management, especially collective trade marks and certified trade marks relating to geographic instructions.

On 29/8/2009, the Delegation left for Vietnam, completed successfully the visit and working time in China.
