The Trade Fair attracted 163 agencies with nearly 850 technologies and equipment offered for sales. Right in the opening evening (06/8/2010) 21 contracts were awarded with the total value of more than VND 220 billion.
Technologies and equipment offered in this Techmart were mainly from industries with high technology volume, as electricity – electronics – automation, machinery engineering technology and information technology. In addition, this Techmart also welcomed many technologies and equipment in fields of agriculture – forestry – aquaculture and food processing.
According to Minister of Science and Technology Hoàng Văn Phong, Techmart is one important way to create favorable conditions for enterprises, scientists and individuals who are interested in science can introduce, offer, find, discover technologies and make technologies to become means and tools for raising the productivity, product quality and competitiveness. Therefore, for many years Techmart has become an important event, not only for scientist communities but also for enterprises, collectives and individuals who are interested in sciences.
Within the framework of the Trade fair, 3 big conferences were organized on S&T supports for the social and economic development which was held by MOST in coordination with Quảng Ninh People’s Committee; using radio-activities and radio-active isotopes for the social and economic development which was held by the Atomic Energy Commission; dissemination of Information technology on raising clear aquaculture which was held by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in coordination with the National Agency of Science and Technology Information. These Conferences were attractive forums for managers, scientists and enterprises to share and solve difficulties in mechanisms and policies and find directions to promote potentials and strengths of regions.
