The purpose of the Workshop was to promote renovation activities, strengthen the exploitation of IP rights in development of S&T activities for the economic and social development when Vietnam more and more integrates deeply in the global economy.
This Workshop has been a forum for the participants to discuss on roles and importance of protecting IP rights for economic activities in general, especially solutions to promote the commercialization of IP based research results and ensure the harmonized combination among State – scientists and enterprises, focusing on issues as protecting IP rights in the market economy; activities of management and use of IP rights for production – business; solutions for commercializing research results through transfer, establishment of S&T enterprises…
Making a speech at the Workshop, Deputy Minister Nguyễn Quân said that Applying an efficient mechanism of IP right protection would contribute to create motivation for research and innovation activities, encourage healthy competitions and promote the country’s economy to develop in a modern and advance way, meeting requirements of the international economic integration.
Also within the Workshop’s framework, representatives of Vietnam and foreign countries would present, discuss on issues relating to IP right protection for results of research and innovation activities; issue “Free exploitation” in enterprises’ IP strategy;.. legal tools for using IP rights in foreign countries; practical cases of using IP rights..
