In the Workshop, representatives of some US S& T enterprises made presentations on their case and mentioned lessons learnt for the success. Each enterprise has different strengths, but all elements of their success have common features which are renovation, invention, especially proper investments in S&T.
According to Mr. Bùi Tùng –Director of Matson Global Business Company, inventions would create the economic growth. Mr. Tùng emphasized that directions of the economic growth need to use knowledge and technology as leverage, which would be created through transfer or developed inside the country. From his argument, Mr. Tung has pointed out some typical lessons learnt for promoting research and innovation in order to achieve the sustainable economic growth in Hawaii. Lessons learnt are mainly that researches should be focused on developing a sustainable economy through innovation; essential elements of the economy should be identified (understanding of culture and its impacts, intellectual citizens, infrastructure conditions, industrial competition, investment conditions and capacities, skill training…), which would create close linkages between 3 stakeholders (State - enterprise - university); “network” strategy should be formulated (network of financial resources, network of skilled laborers, network of products and services…).

In order to achieve present results, the Corporation has created and successfully implemented its core value, which is promoting present renovations to serve for the development tomorrow –Mr. Lê Kiểm –Executive Director and the founder of the Corporation shared.
For Intel group, Mr. Phạm Đỗ Tuấn –General Director of Vietnam Intel Company has affirmed that elements creating the Group’sdevelopment are sustainable infrastructure; simplified policies; advanced values, quality and technology; practical expert capacities and skill systems; sustainable partner systems.
The organization of the Workshop has created opportunities for Vietnamese managers, scientists and enterprises to learn experiences from US –a country which has the most developed economy and S&T industry. It has a special meaning in the context Vietnam is actively designed the best policy environment in order to promote the establishment and development of S&T enterprises.
