Capital City Technology and Equipment Market 2010 took place from September 23-26 and attracted 400 units to participate with 443 counters; more than 100 thousand batches of people came to visit, understand technologies and equipment; more than 150 contracts, memorandum of understanding and thousands of transaction were signed and processed in the Market with the total value of VND 410 billion.

During the time the Market took place, 4 Scientific Workshops were organized with topics on “Applying advancements of biology technology in the agriculture and rural development of Capital City in the integration period”; “Automation technology”; “Introduction of environment treatment solutions”, “Integrating 4 factors of Managers – scientists – producers and businessmen – consumers to commit ensuring the food safety quality”.
A new feature of Capital City Techmart 2010 was to offer some counters for “Science and Technology Incubating Area” for pupils and students with innovation ideas in S&T (KH&CN), area for manufacturing clean vegetable and food safety, technical improvements to increase labor productivity.
Capital City Techmart 2010 has contributed to linking S&T with the social and economic development, promote the development speed of spearhead economic branches and high technology industries of the Capital City. In addition, Capital City Techmart 2010 has also contributed to strengthening the linkage between S&T activities with the management and production and business, promoting the transfer and use of S&T achievements, scientific research results in practice, promoting investment and commercialization of S&T products, establishing and developing Vietnam’s technology market.
Standing Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Nguyễn Quân affirmed that the success of Technology and Equipment Market has played an important role in promoting technology selling and purchasing transactions, establishing and developing the technology market. Technology market 2010 has really become an useful bridge between research, training and production and business, between scientists with enterprise spirits and enterprises who are interested in S&T.
In the Opening ceremony, 15 units have been presented with Certificate of Merits of MOST; 57 units and 19 individuals presented with Certificate of Merits of Hanoi People’s Committee; 32 units and 49 individuals received Certificate of Merits of Hanoi Department of Science and Technology for having active contributions and signing many contracts in the Techmart.
