Vietnam - Poland: Strengthening Science and Technology Cooperation

In the afternoon of October 08, 2012 in Hanoi Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Lê Đình Tiến had a meeting with Ms. Beata Jaczewska – Deputy Minister of Poland’s Ministry of Environment who had a working visit to Vietnam.

Deputy Minister Lê Đình Tiến highly appreciated Polish strengths in some fields as information technology, geology, minerals, electronics – telecommunication, shipping technology, geo-physics,… and said that these have been the fields the two parties could cooperate, share experience, exchange and training experts. Especially, through sessions of Mixed Committee for S&T Cooperation between the two countries, so far more than 10 projects on scientific research cooperation have been implemented. Deputy Minister Lê Đình Tiến hoped to continue strengthening cooperation with Poland in S&T field and organizing discussions to agree prioritized mechanisms for cooperation for the coming time.

Ms. Beata Jaczewska said that the fact that many Vietnamese people have ever studied in big Polish universities and VietnamPoland enterprises were hard-working, highly creative together with good and potential relations for S&T development of the two countries would be good foundation for the cooperation of the two parties for the coming time.

In the meeting, Ms. Beata Jaczewska introduced about some fields the two parties would cooperate for the coming time, including Green Evo program – the program on treating wastes and sewage from big cities to produce gas in order to promote the development of green-economic orientation and carbonic reduction …

The two parties agreed to together select most appropriate solutions to make technological ideas become commercial productions for markets./.
