In the meeting, Ms. Kelly has discussed and expressed desires that Vietnam would support US’s Ministry of Energy in changing used fuel bars and participate in the initiative of minimizing radiation risks. Making a speech in the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Thang welcomed ideas proposed by the US party; at the same time affirmed that MOST would be ready to cooperate with US’s Ministry of Energy in the above mention issues. After the meeting, MOST would consult with relevant Ministries/branches, based on that would develop the common cooperation framework on relevant issues together with US’s Ministry of Energy.
