According to Mr. Trần Việt Hùng –Director of NOIP that Intellectual Property has increasinglyshowed its roles in the development of enterprises and organizations. The establishment of a trademark has been paid attention by enterprises and significantly contributed to the development of enterprises.

Trademarks and brand names are important elements and precious assets of enterprises. The trademark which is protected and exploited with optimal ways will bring in significant values for enterprises, improve the competitive position and increase the market share and turnover for enterprises. Therefore, enterprises of Vietnam as well as of other developing countries need to have solutions to develop their trademarks, exploit benefits of their trademarks and brand names in improving their competitiveness.

Mr. Ye Min Than, Asia-Pacific Department (WIPO’s representative) affirmed that trademarks and brand names have been very important for the effectiveness and diversity of a product, which can participate in the modern economic market. These are precious assets for enterprises, which have great impacts on consuming behaviors of customers when they make careful and reasonable decisions. The brand name is an effective tool to help companies and enterprises expand widely in the market.
