Strengthening Vietnam – Denmark science and technology cooperation

In the morning of 18/02/2011, at the Ministry of Science and Technology, Minister Hoàng Văn Phong had a working session with Mr. John Nielsen, Danish Ambassador to Vietnam.

Minister Hoàng Văn Phong said that over the past time VietnamDenmark diplomatic relations have achieved many good results in fields of education, high-quality human resource training, technology transfer. Especially, the DanishGovernment has provided Vietnam with funds for environment protection and climate change adaptation.

Minister Hoàng Văn Phong highly appreciated potential cooperation of Danish investors, especially in the field of clean energy and technology. The Minister said that Vietnamese Government has actively assigned additional high-quality human resource, improved the infrastructure and improved institutions to create favorable conditions for Danish investors to come to Vietnam.

Ambassador John Nielsen expressed his pleasure to take his terms in Vietnam, spent good feelings for friendliness, dynamics of Vietnamese people, at the same time believed in the better and better development of Vietnam and Demark cooperation relations for the coming time; committed to try his best to strengthen cooperation relations of the countries in fields of politics, diplomacy, science and technology, education, commerce, culture …

Minister Hoàng Văn Phong and Ambassador John Nielsen both said that this year would be a very important year in the two country’s diplomatic relation history – the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam – Demark diplomatic relations. Minister Hoàng Văn Phong also expressed his desires the DanishGovernment would continue allocating ODA fund for Vietnam to develop science and technology and response to climate change.
