In the working session, Mr. Choi Joong Kyung said that he has taken the position for more than 1 month and Vietnam was the first country he chose to visit with purposes of promoting cooperation relations between the two countries in the atomic energy field and discussed about deeper cooperation directions. Mr. Choi Joong Kyung together with members in the mission introduced briefly about capacities of technologies, equipment, experiences in operations and construction of nuclear electricity factories of South Korea and proposed some cooperation directions with Vietnam.
Minister Hoàng Văn Phong expressed the enthusiasm of the mission and highly appreciated good traditional relations between the two countries. The Minister also introduced briefly about the roadmap of constructing Vietnam’s nuclear electricity factories and roles of the Ministry of Science and Technology in this roadmap, at the same time expressed his supports for South Korea’s proposals. The Minister hoped that cooperation relations between Vietnam and South Korea would be closer, not only in the atomic energy but also in other fields. The Minister proposed that the two parties would arrange ministerial level meetings to discuss more carefully about issues that can be cooperated.
