Ms.Lê Thị Khánh Vân – Deputy Director of the National Agency for S&T Information said that the signing contents among the parties consisted of cooperation and transfer of production technology of some appropriate fish varieties, rice varieties, roots, mushrooms, some animals and poultries; exchange experts and technical staff betweenVietnam and the Republic of Benin and Republic of Nigeria; establish a group of scientists of three countries, cooperate and study on new solutions in the above-mentioned solutions appropriate with the development of Vietnam, Benin and Nigeria.
This is one of practical activiites to implement the plan of action for the portal gate called South – South Global Asset and Technology Exchanges (in short called SS-Gate) funded by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). In which, NASATI has been assigned as the national focal point which is responsible for implementing information technology activities and promoting technology transfer between Vietnam and country memebers of the South-South Global Assets and Technolgoy Exchanges.
This memorandum of understanding is Vietnam’s first activity of technology transfer with some African countries within the framework of this program. The signing parties have affirmed their active participation in cooperation contents right in the late 6 months of 2011.
