This was the Training Course which was organized within the framework of Cooperation Project with IAEA on “Strengthening national and regional technical capabilities of responding to radiation and nuclear incidents” (RAS/9/057). Project RAS/9/057 of IAEA was aimed at objectives of: improving national capacities in preparation and response to radiation and nuclear incidents, building national capacities appropriate with international practices, applying IAEA methods of incident preparation and response, at the same time establishing the responding network of Asia-Pacific region.
In the Training Course, participants had opportunities to understand demands of establishing an exercising system of incident preparation and response; improving knowledge in organization, evaluation, as well as applying gained knowledge in establishing the responding system of radiation and nuclear incidents. This was the opportunities for nations to share information and experience in this field to ensure safety and security of radiation and nuclear sources of each nation, especially the issue of human being protection.
