In the session, the two parties have re-affirmed the importance of strengthening S&T Cooperation between the two countries; reviewed the implementation of S&T cooperation activities carried out according to the contents of the 1st session; overall assessed the S&T development of each country to select priority fields for the future Vietnam – Japan Cooperation Program, including special attention paid to the fields of climate change, cosmography technology, information and communication technology and some other fields. The two parties have also agreed to organize the next session in Japan in 2011. When the session is finished, the two parties have signed the Common Statement of the two co-presidents.
