In the working session with Ambassador Iran Seyed Javad Ghavam, the two parties have discussed some cooperation activities for the coming time as exchanging, cooperating among scientists and research officials; coordinating to organize S&T conferences and workshops; developing and implementing common research projects. Among which, special attention is paid to fields of biological technology, nano technology, new materials for cosmography industry, which is currently a strength of Iran.
Mr. Seyed Javad Ghavam also conveyed the invitation to visit Iran from Iranian Minister of Education to Minister Hoang Van Phong. The Minister was glad to accept the invitation and promised to arrange the visit in a soonest time, as well as prepare more carefully S&T cooperation activities between the two countries so that the visit would be more efficient.
On the same day, Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Van Phong had a meeting with Mr. Ivan Dovganych - Ukrainian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam.
Minister Hoang Van Phong has congratulated the Ambassador on the occasion he has accepted his mission in Vietnam and affirmed that over the past time, Vietnam and Ukraine have had efficient cooperation, especially in the field of training and education. The Minister has also expressed desires that S&T cooperation between the two parties would be strengthened more to be appropriate with potentials and strengths of the two parties. The Ambassador expressed his thanks for spending time to meet and proposed in the future S&T cooperation program, the two parties should pay attention and supports for basis researches as well applied researches. He proposed MOST to send scientists to participate in the International Exhibition on cosmography technology to be organized in Ukraine in the coming time.
