At the meeting, the two parties have informed each other of the implementation status of the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 25/7/2009 between Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology and ROSATOM on some issues of common interests.

On behalf of ROSATOM Delegation, Mr. P.G. Shedrovitsky expressed desires that the MOST (including VAEC, acting as the focal point in the Ministry), as one party signing the Memorandum with ROSATOM, would chair, coordinate with relevant ministries and branches, especially in the Ministry of Education and Training, to carry out the selection and send to Russia the first group of students to be trained on nuclear electricity on 9/2010.

Firstly, ROSATOM party will urgently provide the Vietnamese party with the list if professions needed to be trained, relating to nuclear electricity so that in 2009 the two parties can agree on the list of professions to be trained; at the same time establish the common Enrolment Committee between relevant agencies of the two countries.

On this occasion, ROSATOM party invited a Vietnamese delegation to pay a visit to nuclear electricity factories, factories which manufacture equipment and training units of the Russian Federation.
