The Nepalese experts came to work in Vietnam with the purpose of sharing information, experience and learning Vietnam in the field of atomic energy, nuclear power and regulatory body. These experts would help the Nepal decision-markers to plan the construction of the National Nuclear Research Center.
The VARANS Director General Ngo Dang Nhan presented Legislative and Regulatory System for Radiation and Nuclear Safety in Vietnam, the experience and results achieved of VARANS, a regulatory body in state management in radiation nuclear safety and control. Two parties also express desire to promote more the cooperation in training and technical support.
In the framework of this Nepal delegation in Vietnam, experts will visit and work with VARANS, Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute, Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology, Institute for technology of Radioactive and Rare Elements, Technical Support Centre for Radiation Safety and Emergency Response (TSC-VARANS) and some relevant bodies.
