Iran desired to promote Science and Technology cooperation with Vietnam

On July 12, 2011, in Hanoi Minister of Science and Technology (MOST) Hoang Van Phong had a working session with Mr. Ali Agha Mohammadi– Assistant to Iranian Vice President.

In the working session, Mr. Ali Agha Mohammadi affirmed that Iran has wanted to promote S&T cooperative relations with Vietnam. He said that Iran’s education, health and science and technology have been significantly developed (Iran’s universities have been present in more than 40 nations in the world, among which many are best universities in the world, Iran itselfcan provide more than 93% of its pharmaceutical demands….)Therefore he believed that cooperation between Iran and Vietnam in the S&T field would be “unlimited”. Minister Hoang Van Phong was grateful for the willingness of Mr. Ali Agha Mohammadi and Iranian Government for Vietnam’s people. The Minister expressed his desires that cooperative relations in S&T between the two counties would be realized in two aspects of technological science and social science.

The two parties agreed to work out a specific plan of actions, consider the establishment of a sub-committee for S&T cooperation in the Mixed committee between the two countries so that the plan would be implemented in practice.
